Types

Three Main MPNP Streams

Three most applied streams of MPNP are as follows:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba

This category aims to meet the demands of Manitoba’s labour market by nominating temporary foreign workers or international students currently living in the province. Applicants must already have a permanent job offer from an eligible Manitoba employer to secure a provincial nomination. This nomination simplifies the process of obtaining a PR visa to live and work long-term in the province.

Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

This stream targets highly skilled and qualified overseas workers who can demonstrate a strong, verifiable connection to the province. The connection can be established through close family members, friends, past education, or previous employment in Manitoba, or by receiving an official Invitation to Apply (LAA) from the MPNP. Candidates are assessed on five key eligibility factors: English proficiency, education, age, work experience, and adaptability.

MPNP for Business

This particular category is designed to recruit and nominate qualified businesspersons and farm owners from around the world. The aim is to select individuals who possess the financial capability and genuine intent to live in Manitoba and establish, purchase, or become a partner in a new or existing business or farm operation. This stream requires a business plan and an investment commitment in the province.
