MPNP Skilled WorkerEligibility Requirements
The two main categories under the Skilled Worker stream have distinct criteria, focusing either on an established presence in Manitoba or a recognized connection to the province.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba
- Current Status & Employment: Must be a qualified temporary foreign worker or an international student graduate with a permanent and full-time job offer from their present Manitoba employer.
- Work and Authorization: Must have worked continuously for at least six months for that employer, and hold a valid work permit or post-graduation work permit (PGWP) issued by IRCC.

- Skills and Settlement: Possess all necessary qualifications, training, and licensing for the position. Must demonstrate job-ready English/French proficiency, show a genuine desire to settle via a Settlement Plan, and have adequate settlement funds.
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
- Assessment & Connection: Must achieve a minimum of 60 points on the MPNP's points assessment grid based on five key factors (language, education, work experience, age, and adaptability).
- Recognized Connection: Must demonstrate a strong and verifiable connection to Manitoba through the support of family or friends, past work experience, provincial education, or an official Invitation to Apply (LAA) from the MPNP.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba
This category aims to meet the demands of Manitoba’s labour market by nominating temporary foreign workers or international students currently living in the province. Applicants must already have a permanent job offer from an eligible Manitoba employer to secure a provincial nomination. This stream requires a business plan and an investment commitment in the province.

Obtain LAA / Direct Application

Receive Invitation to Apply (ITA)
(If your EOI profile is selected in an MPNP Draw, you will receive an official Invitation to Apply (ITA) for provincial nomination).
Submit Full Nomination Application
(Complete and submit your comprehensive application package for provincial nomination to the MPNP within the given deadline).
Receive Provincial Nomination Certificate
